Kantar Worldpanel shows the latest data on the market shares of mobile operating systems. Accounting period is from June to August, and the big winner is iOS. Surprisingly, and Windows manages to make everything more room on smartphones, in different corners of the world, including Europe. The fact is that Android losing important points in major markets.
The most important market, the US, Android wins two and a half percent, while Apple lost almost as much on Windows remains.
Another research has to comScore, made on August shows the market shares of the leading US manufacturers. Compared to May, Apple and LG easily able to improve their market share, while Samsung, Motorola and HTC losing ground.
Apple has over 44% market share and is the leading producer of smartphones in the US market. Samsung has 27.4% and ranks second and the third comes from a great distance, LG, with a market share of 9.1%, writes GSMArena.
